The Management Information Systems are the linkage of the software, human resources and data within the information systems, those are required to manage the businesses and organize their work, it is obvious that the information systems thrive to manage the managerial data using technology, in order to create a competitive advantage and suitable technology, in addition to design, analyze and develop the needs of the managerial organizations along with predicting and analyzing the market’s needs.
The programme has been initiated in the academic year 1995/1996, its study period is 4 years, after that, the student will be granted the bachelor degree of administrative sciences – information systems, it is considered as the most distinguished one locally and regionally, as it has been developed in response to the work-market requirements and as a desire to provide the qualified staff in the field of management information systems.
The programme’s importance comes from the linkage of the business administration field with information technology, in terms of designing, analyzing and developing what is required by the business organizations to perform the technologically distinguished works, thus providing the organization more opportunities to exceed its competitors.
The information systems graduate has a various collection of skills; highly technical skills through studying the information technology courses, like: networks, database management and programming and other programming languages, along with excellent managerial and personal skills acquired by studying the different managerial courses, like: management, human resources management, business correspondences and communication, organizational behavior, and finally the strategic management and decision making.
